Safari Rally Kenya returns as one of the most demanding events of the FIA World Rally Championship. Based around Naivasha, the rally combines spectacular African scenery with some of the toughest terrain on the calendar.Compared with previous editions, the 2026 rally is expected to be more brutal and unpredictable, with large amounts of mud increasing the risk of hidden rocks and potential damage. The rally begins on *Thursday* with a new Shakedown stage, followed by SS1 and SS2 later in the day. During recce, SS1 already revealed significantly more muddy sections than in previous years. Mud can conceal rocks beneath the surface, increasing the risk of damage.
*Friday* features the first full competitive loop, with SS1 repeated as SS3. The itinerary includes the Loldia stage, expected to be especially rough and muddy. Meanwhile, Kengen Geothermal and Kedong represent two classic Safari stages. Both stages are likely to experience significant cleaning as cars pass through, influencing grip levels and strategy.
*Saturday* brings the most traditional Safari-style stages, with wide open landscapes and wildlife often visible near the stages. Recce took place during heavy rain, leaving some sections flooded and surfaces extremely rough. These conditions may also allow drivers to search for alternative lines or cuts. The Elementeita stage is expected to be particularly muddy, and Saturday is likely to present the highest levels of mud during the rally.
*Sunday* concludes the event with two stages, including the famous Hell’s Gate, which once again promises a spectacular finale. After two demanding days, significant cleaning is expected, potentially altering grip levels for the final runs.
With rough terrain, deep mud, hidden rocks and extreme endurance demands, Safari Rally Kenya 2026 is set to deliver dramatic action at one of the most iconic events in world rallying.[12/03, 16:05] Hangkok JYC Joyie Choi: The *Tire Options from Hankook Tire* for WRC Safari Rally Kenya 2026 are:* Dynapro R213 (Hard/Soft)
