The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) on Monday, 22nd January 2024 announced the appointment of renowned tactician Mildred Cheche as the new head coach of the Junior Starlets, the U17 women’s national team.
While she will be assisted by Ann Aluoch, the dynamic duo brings a combination of wealthy expertise to the Junior Starlets, with both boasting CAF B licenses.
“Coach Mildred Cheche, in addition to her new role, currently serves as the assistant coach for the senior women’s national team, the Harambee Starlets, as well as the Rising Starlets. Ann Aluoch also currently holds the position of assistant coach for the U15 women’s national team,” noted FKF in a statement.
Coach Cheche and Coach Aluoch gear up for the U17 2024 FIFA U17 World Cup second-round qualifiers., with their first assignment being to lead the Junior Starlets who will play neighbors DR Congo away on February 4th and at home on February 11th, 2024.
